Homestead Deca

Distributive Educational Clubs of America, better known as DECA, is a club that helps students develop business and leadership skills through competitions, conferences, and experiential learning. We aim to help students foster skills in areas such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking. 

History

Homestead DECA has been around since 1996, steadily growing to be one of the largest clubs at Homestead. We have produced over 100 international competitors and 2 international champions, and we're just getting started! Join DECA today, and don't miss out on the opportunities of tomorrow.

Commitment

DECA requirements: 

  • Must attend 1 meeting a month
    (Meetings are Tuesday/Thursday after school in Mr. Dunn's room. )  

  • Must attend district competitions in Dec or Jan 2024/25.

Homestead Deca

Event Options 

Role play

Involves participants taking on simulated business scenarios and addressing a variety of KPIs to a judge.

Written Paper

Involve participants creating detailed documents that analyze and propose solutions for specific business challenges.

Professional Selling 

Require students to showcase their sales proficiency through simulated interactions with judges, effectively pitching a product, or service in a proffesional context.
